Leave Rome and head south crossing the Lazio hinterland , following the same route the ancient Romans themselves used to follow when making their way to vacation homes.
The Abbey of Montecassino is our first virtual stop, place of prayer and study, which happened to be on the firing line between two armies during the second World War.

28 KM north of Naples lies Caserta, the place where the Bourbon kings of Naples created their Royal Palace as a counterpart to Luis XIV's Versailles Palace.

We are now in sight of the Vulcano Vesuvius, at the foot of which, exploting the fertile soil, some vineyards still produce the Lacryma christi wine.

Once in Pompei, we'll start the guided tour of the excavations, This walking tour will unveil the secrets of both the public and private life of the roman times (we suggest you wear confortable shoes).

Lunch a la carte with drinks included, will be served in a restaurant accompanied by typical folk music.

In the afternoon by bus we will reach the center of Naples which we will then visit on foot.
